Recently, I saw “The King’s Speech.” It was awesome! As a speech major, I enjoyed watching the process the King went through to become an accomplished speaker.

TAKS Week

Respect or Lack-there-of!

What does Respect mean to you? How does one gain your respect? I respect those who do what they say. I find it difficult to respect people who “speak from both sides of their mouth.” What is your take on the subject?

Price of Gas

WOW… the price is gas is horrible! I am going to become much more selective about where all I go because of the cost of gas. My horseshowing will have to be hit-or-miss this year.

Just for Fun!

It is good to have a no-brainer activity! My husband and son like to go fishing… (not my idea of fun, but nevertheless!!!) Yesterday, was a great day at the fishing hole… 4.2 lb bass!

Valentine’s Day

Do you have a Valentine? The news stated this morning that BILLIONS of dollars are spent each year on Valentine’s Day on flowers. Do you think that is a wise investment? Personally, I don’t care for flowers. I am very particular about flowers. I LOVE gladiolas. Sadly, so many Valentine arrangements are ugly flowers… not gladiolas!!! What are your thoughts?

Modern Medicine

Thanks to modern medicine, my kitty, “Raven,”  will live to see another day! This is my kitty that my husband ran-over in October. This weekend, I noticed he was doing rather poorly. Yesterday, I took him to the vet and now he is doing much better. As it turned out, he has a Urinary Track infection. After two shots, he is back to being his old self.
